Hi guys, so naturally something I’m going to be doing on this site is recommending resources and tools to help you along the way. Hosting is #1 as you can’t have a website with a host! Here are the top hosts I recommend for you to start a WordPress website and begin making $$ online. (Make sure to read to the bottom to find out how you can get me to install WordPress for you fo’ freeeee!)

Now, to be clear, when you’re just starting out it doesn’t really matter which host you go with… you can always move later. What you want in a host at this point is cheap, easy to set up, and reliable. That’s it! If you end up being successful and want to move to something more serious down the road, you can at that point – but with many of these hosts you won’t need to, as they’ll be plenty for what you’re doing. (If you really want to get serious I recommend WPX Hosting.)

1. iPage

iPage starts at $3.75 and comes with a FREE DOMAIN. Also, you can pay for this on a month-by-month basis instead of having to buy multiple months at once. This is #1 on my list for beginners.

2. SiteGround

SiteGround is a high performance shared hosting solution. It starts at 3.95 – the only catch is you have to pay for more than one month at once to get that price, and it doesn’t come with a free domain. The domain through them would cost 14.99 so I recommend getting your domain with Namecheap and pointing it to your hosting if you go this route.

3.BlueHost

BlueHost is one of the biggest names in hosting and that’s the only reason it’s on this list. I don’t particularly like them, but many of my clients use them and they’re known as a large, reliable company. They are a good option to start with at 3.95/month and a free domain.

4.HostGator

HostGator is basically in the same boat as Bluehost, being a big name provider with mostly reliable shared hosting. If you buy multiple months at a time you can pay 3.95 per month – but it’s 10.95 on a month by month basis. They also don’t offer free domains (the cost is 12.95 for the first year), so again, I recommend going through Namecheap for your domain and then pointing it here for hosting if you choose this option.

Affiliate disclosure: One way I can make this endeavor (and by endeavor I mean teaching you guys everything I know about making an online income without expecting anything from you in return) worthwhile is by adding affiliate links to the things I recommend when available. So that’s what’s going to happen here. Basically, if you purchase anything through these links, I will get a commission. To be clear, I’ll still only recommend things I actually stand behind.

HOW TO GET ME TO INSTALL WORDPRESS FOR YOU FOR FREE

Because I’ll be getting a commission, I’m going to offer free WordPress setup if you purchase hosting through any of the links above! Super important to note: the price does NOT change for you at all if you go through the link – it will be the same as if you didn’t. And if you specifically *don’t* want to use my affiliate link, you are welcome to just Google the company name you want to sign up with and go from there. 🙂

So, for those of you who want me to install WP for you on your new hosting account.. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Click one of the links above and buy the intro hosting plan (any of the intro plans on these will work)
  2. When the hosting service sends you your receipt, forward that email and include your username and password to WORDPRESS AT PASSIVEMONIES DOT COM. (To do this, click forward on the email, then before sending it, enter your login details at the top of the email.)
  3. IF your domain was purchased separately, also send me the login for that.
  4. I will install WordPress for you on your server and send you the details.

Tadaaaa! (You will still need to learn WordPress and work on your site to get it going, but you will be able to log in right away without jumping through technical website-setup-hoops, which means you’ll be that much closer to making dollaz on the internetz.)
